For an international well known Hotel chain we are looking for an Internet Specialist | E-Commerce Manager with main goal to;
To maximize revenues and profit and to reduce distribution and intermediary costs for hotels within the Hotel chain and generate sales in line with the overall Marketing, Sales, and Electronic Distribution and Revenue Management strategies.

Key Responsibilities
- Maximize revenue & profit opportunities through direct on-line distribution channels (Internet) and their tools: Client Page, Trade Page, Events.
- Look after content: i) Description of the hotels within the region ii) Right translations for the internet site of the hotel chain and on-line communications in Dutch & French.
Main tasks & Duties
- Optimise revenue & profit from direct distribution channel:
Company website, we have to optimize and concentrate the efforts to increase the revenues in the hotels/website
- Customized Self Booking Tools; Client pages / Trade pages / Event tools
- Working with affiliates to drive business into the website .com
- Online Conversion: increase through various activities such as working with hotels to update pictures & text. Improve content in the web:
i) right translation for the local domain
ii) improve description and hotel brochure for the hotel of their Business Units.
- Analyze the evolution for the email and hotels of the Business Unit, analyzing the evolution and proposing to the corporate Internet dept.,different action plans to improve traffic, revenue, and usability.
- Explore SEO, SEM, Email marketing and CGM (Consumer Generated Media) opportunities in close cooperation with the marketing department.
- Track the SEO & SEM results for the hotels in the Business Unit and share with Corp. the results to improve the positions.
- Research new developments or website opportunities in all market segments, pricing models, guest reviews models and travel blogs should be managed by the operational area but Internet person have to train them improve relation with affiliates programs.
Other Tasks & Duties
- Liaison between relevant departments in the region and Head Office level
- Develop, maintain, introduce and audit policies and procedures (along with company guidelines) in order to guarantee consistent usage across the region.
- Guarantees a minimum level of E-commerce awareness and knowledge of the web within the commercial organization .
- Advises commercial management on new developments and proposes ways to further integrate e-commerce activities in the daily commercial operation.
- Generate and analyze dash-boards and reporting regarding electronic distribution area.

- Bachelor Degree (HBO level in working and thinking)
- Experience in commercial e-commerce position, preferably in hospitality industry
- Internet minded - innovator in new opportunities of the web
- Demonstrable experience in user acquisition campaigns
- Excellent communication skills
- Logical thinker & analytical - affinity with ICT and systems
- Attitude: flexible, self starting, drive for innovation, pro-active
- Well organized, Decision maker, Enthusiasm
- Networker: good in building relationships
- Highly developed commercial skills and result driven personality
- Fluent in Dutch & English, French & Spanish is recommended
