As Deputy General Manager / Operations Manager for this 4* hotel in London, you will be in charge of all operational departments such as F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping and Maintenance.

Job Description

In this position you will directly manage the F&B Manager, F&B Outlet Manager, Reception Manager, Head of Concierge, Executive Housekeeper and the Maintenance Manager. The main goal will be to achieve the set ROI after an extensive refurbishment.

Furthermore you will be in charge of:

  • To oversee the day-to-day operations and management of the hotel ensuring that the delivery of brand standards is alive and at all times consistent
  • To work in partnership with all HODs, the General Manager to achieve all Balanced Scoreboard objectives (tbc)
  • To optimise all sales opportunities and ensuring that a sales culture is in place in all departments
  • To offer support and guidance to all reporting HODs as ad when required
  • To ensure hotel compliance with regards to Health & Safety, Licensing and Employment Laws together with the relevant HODs
  • To translate strategic business plans into considered and achievable actions, and in turn objectives for the HODs and departments
  • To communicate effectively at all levels both verbally and in writing
  • To lead and manage senior level, complex or high profile meetings as and when required by getting involved in the initial booking right through to the end of the event
  • To monitor ongoing profit and performance of the Hotel together with the General Manager and the Deputy General Manager
  • To contribute to the accurate and timely forecasting of the business
  • To engage in the annual budgeting processes for all operational departments
  • To implement cost control measures as necessary to safeguard profit
  • To manage all relationships within all departments to ensure cohesion with seamless service and product delivery
  • To lead the customer experience within the hotel ensuring a world class standards of service and delivery of the set standards

  • Previously experienced as a Hotel or Operations Manager of a large hotel with rooms management and food and beverage based property
  • Operational knowledge of rooms management, yield and revenue experience
  • Has experience with online websites
  • Has an understanding of all social media online
  • Has Sales and Marketing experience
  • Opera knowledge
  • Good working knowledge of Office packages
  • Some experience in either a Micros or another POS implementation is desirable
