How are CourtesyMasters' fees structured?
Fees are agreed in advance and depend on the specifics of the assignment. Every engagement is confirmed through a signed agreement covering the project scope, fee structure and other conditions, so everything is clear before the search begins.
Detailed answer
Fees are agreed in advance for each assignment. CourtesyMasters does not publish fixed rates, because no two searches are the same: the fee reflects the complexity, the seniority and the confidentiality of the role.
How are fees usually structured?
Under our terms for employers, fees are typically:
- fixed or percentage-based
- structured in phases, for example at the start, at the shortlist and at the hire
- exclusive of VAT and third-party costs, where these apply
The payment term is 14 days net, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
What is agreed before the search begins?
Every assignment is confirmed in a signed agreement or assignment confirmation that sets out the project scope, the fee structure and any other conditions, such as the search model. Most assignments run on an exclusive or semi-exclusive basis. So everything is clear before any work starts.
You can expect a transparent proposal with clear deliverables, a dedicated consultant who guides the process and a fee structure that fits your assignment. Most clients engage CourtesyMasters through a retained search, a confidential project or a priority assignment.
What else should you know?
- A placement fee applies when you hire a candidate introduced by CourtesyMasters within 24 months of the introduction, also when the hire is made by an affiliated entity.
- Our general terms set out what applies when a search changes significantly, is put on hold or is stopped.
- Every assignment is carried out on a best-effort basis, without fixed deadlines.
How do you get a proposal?
Share your role with us through a request for proposal. A brief description of the role and your situation is enough to start the conversation, and you can attach a document if you have one.
