Postillion Hotels

Postillion Hotels traces its history back to 1959, when the very first location opened in Bunnik under the name Motoresto, the Netherlands's first roadside restaurant. Within a decade, the Bunnik venue expanded with hotel rooms and meeting spaces, becoming the country's first ever highway hotel.

From Motoresto to Postillion

Under a series of name changes, from Postiljon Pleisterplaatsen to Postiljon Motels and Postiljon Hotels, the chain gradually evolved into the more internationally oriented Postillion Hotels of today. In 2025, the brand celebrated the fifteenth anniversary of its Meet, Work, Stay concept, though the roots of the business stretch back more than fifty years further.
