Logo of client Bulgari Hotels & Resorts

Bulgari was founded in Rome in 1884 by the Greek silversmith Sotirio Bulgari, who built a reputation for Italian craftsmanship and jewellery design that would grow into one of the world's most recognised luxury Maisons. At the turn of the 21st century, Bulgari extended that heritage into hospitality, entering a joint venture with Marriott International's Luxury Group.

From jewellery house to hospitality collection

The first Bulgari Hotel opened in Milan in 2004, followed by Bali in 2006, London in 2012, Beijing in 2017, Dubai in 2017 and Shanghai in 2018. Each property is placed in the most prestigious neighbourhood of its city or resort destination and is designed to convey the excitement, timeless glamour and Italian jewellery heritage of the Bulgari brand.

Contemporary design, local reference

Every Bulgari Hotel blends Italian contemporary architecture with a strong reference to local culture, using rare materials, custom built details and commissioned works of art. This approach has produced some distinctive results, including:

  • A garden theme reflecting the property's setting in Milan
  • A tribute to Bulgari's silversmith origins in London
  • An urban resort blending art and nature in Beijing
  • An island oasis set against the Dubai skyline

Part of the LVMH family

As part of LVMH, the world's leading luxury group, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts continues to expand into new gateway cities while holding to the same core values that have defined the Maison since 1884: authenticity, tradition of excellence, and timeless glamour.

  • Authenticity: reflecting Bulgari's Italian jewellery heritage in every property
  • Timeless glamour: informal yet impeccable service, never ostentatious
  • People as the soul of the Maison: investing in employees' personal and professional growth
