Eden Hotels is a Dutch family business dating back to 1947, when Doede Dijkstra opened the family's first hotel in the Frisian village of Tzummarum. His son Sjoerd expanded the business, acquiring the Eden Hotel on Amsterdam's Amstel river in 1977, a name the group formally adopted in 1999.

Independent hotels with local character

Now led by third-generation director Léon Dijkstra, Eden Hotels comprises hotels across Dutch city centres including Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Groningen and Maastricht, each connected to its neighbourhood and local city life while sharing a family-run standard of hospitality.

Part of a larger hospitality family

Since 2024 Eden Hotels has been part of the Fattal Group through its Leonardo Hotels division, opening a new chapter of growth while preserving the individual character and regional identity that has defined the group since 1947.
